Chris Cuomo has called out the Democratic National Convention (DNC) for its exorbitant suite prices, which can reach up to $5 million. Cuomo’s critique centers on the irony of the DNC’s stated commitment to regulating the wealthy while its convention is filled with elite attendees who benefit from these very systems.

Cuomo highlighted that the DNC’s luxurious suites, starting at $500k for a penthouse and ranging up to $2.5 million for lower-level spaces, are occupied by the same people the party vows to regulate. “Those boxes are filled with the same people they’re trying to regulate,” Cuomo remarked.

He questioned whether those spending millions to attend the convention truly have a genuine interest in combating systemic issues. “We are strangled by the money reality in our politics,” Cuomo added, suggesting that the high costs of access undermine the DNC’s anti-elite rhetoric.

Cuomo’s comments underscore the broader tension between political promises and the realities of campaign financing, revealing a stark contrast between the DNC’s rhetoric and its expensive, exclusive convention spaces.
