Three illegal immigrant men from Chile were charged in Wisconsin related to a burglary ring that crossed state lines.
Enjerbet A. Rojas Silva, 19; Leandro F. Pino Uribe, 20; and Luciano A. Silva Cifuentes, 26, faced a criminal complaint after their arrest for breaking into several houses in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Florida over a span of several months.
GMToday reports, “The investigation began Oct. 17 when a victim returned to her Town of Delafield home and found the rear glass patio door smashed and items scattered throughout. Police say the suspects appeared to focus on upstairs bedrooms — multiple jewelry cases were opened, drawers rifled through, and clothing tossed around. The victim reported roughly 100 pieces of jewelry missing.”
Investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies noticed a pattern in several burglaries in Waukesha and Ozaukee counties between September and October, using cell phone data acquired through a search warrant and Flock cameras to track their license plates.
The suspects are alleged to have also traveled to Illinois, Minnesota, and Florida. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Brown County Sheriff’s Office Captain David Poteat suspects them to be involved in a theft in Ledgeview, Florida.
Waukesha County deputies executed a warrant where they arrested the three men and seized much of their equipment, signal jammers, and tools to break windows.
Mequon PD suspects them of being involved in a break-in in that community. In a statement to local news outlet TMJ, they said, (RELATED: Milwaukee Parent Launches New Classical School in 2026)
“We are working closely with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office and our other law enforcement partners to determine whether the individuals that were arrested by WCSO may be connected to the burglaries that occurred in the City of Mequon. Our priority is keeping the community informed while also ensuring a thorough and successful investigation. To protect the integrity of this ongoing work, no additional information is available at this time. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation.”
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the three suspects are in the United States of America illegally. Uribe and Cifuentes face a $250,000 cash bond. All three face up to fifteen years in prison if convicted.
