This past weekend, Milwaukee hosted four major festivals, all happening within a three-mile stretch of the lakefront.

The Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival at Veterans Park was a standout, drawing around 80,000 attendees who enjoyed performances by Jelly Roll on Friday and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Saturday. This festival celebrated the spirit of Harley-Davidson with high-octane music and festivities downtown and at the Harley-Davidson Museum, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Nearby, Henry Maier Festival Park hosted German Fest, which showcased German culture with its vibrant array of food, music, and traditional activities. Just a short distance away, the WaterStone Bank Air & Water Show delighted spectators with its spectacular aerial and water performances, held near McKinley and Bradford beaches on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

In McKinley Park, the Milwaukee Brew Fest attracted beer enthusiasts on Saturday, offering a chance to sample a variety of craft beers from local and international brewers.

To top off the weekend’s entertainment, the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on the Summerfest grounds featured concerts from Carlos Santana and the Counting Crows on Friday, and Alanis Morissette with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on Sunday.

The sheer concentration of high-profile events in such close proximity prove once again why Milwaukee is considered the city of festivals.
