RFK Jr. Remains on Wisconsin and Michigan Ballots Despite Ending Presidential Bid
Wisconsin and Michigan to keep RFK Jr. on the ballot despite dropping out and officially ending his campaign.

Despite ending Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) independent presidential bid and endorsing former President Donald Trump, key democratic run battleground states are not removing RFK Jr. from the ballot.

In Wisconsin, the Elections Commission voted to keep Kennedy on the ballot despite his request for removal. The commission’s decision in Wisconsin highlights a state law that prohibits candidates from withdrawing after filing unless they pass away.

This ruling also applies to other third-party candidates, including Jill Stein, ensuring their names will appear on Wisconsin’s November ballot. It is noted that a DNC representative  attempted to sue to remove Jill Stein from the Wisconsin ballot earlier this month.

The presence of these candidates could be pivotal in Wisconsin, where recent elections have been decided by narrow margins. Kennedy’s continued presence on the ballot, despite his endorsement of Trump, could influence the outcome in a state where third-party votes have historically been significant.

Meanwhile, in Michigan, Kennedy will also remain on the ballot as a candidate for the Natural Law Party, due to state rules that prevent minor party candidates from withdrawing despite the Attorney General attempting to remove him earlier this election cycle.
