On Wednesday, MLB Network announced the winners of the American and National League Players of the Month.

The two are winners of the award for the first time for the Brewers since 2018 in Christian Yelich’s MVP campaign. The two became the first duo to win their respective awards in the same month since 2024, when Marcell Ozuna and Reynaldo Lopez took the honors. Peralta had a historic August racking up 14 wins, and only allowing 1 run across 28 innings of work, giving him an MLB- best ERA of 0.32. Hitters had a batting average of only .117, allowing a league leading 11 hits against him. The Brewers ace is working on a Cy Young campaign leading the National League in wins and ranks top 5 in ERA. Peralta is the only pitcher in the modern era to put up a calendar month such as this, according to OptaSTATS

Turang put up the best month of his career, doubling his home run total to 20. He hit .343 with an MLB-leading OPS of 1.092, racking up 11 multi-hit games. Turang currently leads all second baseman average .291 at the plate, and with a wins above replacement (WAR) over 5. Fresh off of a platinum glove, Turangs places top 5 in the National League for fielding percentage. (RELATED: Brewers Score Milwaukee Area Free Burgers With 12th Consecutive Win)

Peralta and Turang are joined by the American League winners, Athletic’s catcher Shea Langeliers, and Orioles’ pitcher Trevor Rogers.

The Brewers continue to hold their first place standing with a League leading 86 wins, 5.5 games above the Phillies. The Crew will count on the continued production from Peralta and Turang as they look to make a World Championship run in October.
