An incumbent on the Wisconsin Supreme Court held nothing back about her prospective opponent, displaying how Supreme Court races in the Badger State have become increasingly contentious.
Incumbent Justice Rebecca Bradley attacked challenger Chris Taylor for her previous opposition to Marsy’s Law, a constitutional amendment expanding victim’s rights in Wisconsin that passed by a wide margin.
“Her radical political agenda is out of touch with the people of Wisconsin,” Bradley said. Taylor would tarnish the Wisconsin Supreme Court with politically driven decisions, and voters cannot trust her to exercise good judgement.”
Bradley has yet to confirm if she is running for re-election, but the race has the potential to further cement the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s 5-4 liberal majority during a time where elections for seats on the state’s highest court have become increasingly partisan and costly.
The most recent race that occurred earlier this year hauled in over $100 million from both candidates, resulting in a victory for liberal candidate Susan Crawford. (RELATED: Wisconsin Woman Found Guilty in UK Murder Driven by Family Feud)
Wisconsin Republican Party spokesperson Anika Rickard amplified Bradley’s attacks against her challenger, calling her a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”
“Chris Taylor showed her true colors when she voted against victim rights and ignored the will of 75% of Wisconsinites… Taylor is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and cannot be given a seat on Wisconsin’s highest court.”
Bradley, who has not raised money in the first half of 2025, said she plans to run again to “ensure that there is a voice for the constitution and for the rule of law to preserve that in the state of Wisconsin.” (RELATED: Congressional Democrat Pushes Wisconsin to Join Redistricting Arms Race)
