The White House posted on X Tuesday to celebrate the success of its ‘MAHA’ (Make America Healthy Again) initiative. The post celebrated a growing coalition of ice cream brands pledging to eliminate artificial dyes like Red 40 and Yellow 5. The effort has been positioned as a triumph for the Trump administration and its pro-consumer health policies.

‘MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN! The Trump Administration delivers on MAHA: Dozens of ice cream brands drop artificial dyes!’ the post read, emphasizing the administration’s support for a cleaner food supply. (RELATED: Food Stamp Fraud Exposed Online as States Grapple with Cost)

‘I applaud the International Dairy Foods Association for stepping up to eliminate certified artificial colors,’ said Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy.

The ‘MAHA’ push to eliminate artificial dyes and colorings has spread beyond the ice cream industry. Companies like Pepsi, In-N-Out, and Tyson Foods have also joined the pledge. The administration is attempting to rely on food companies to voluntarily remove the artificial colorings themselves, and has seen success so far in doing so. ‘We know that our current health outcomes, especially for our children, are unsustainable and that American agriculture is at the heart of the solution to make America healthy again,’ said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins.
