Next April, Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley is up for reelection. However, her campaign shows no money raised through the end of June in the latest report by the state.

Justice Bradley is up for a new 10-year term this coming April. She serves in the minority of republicans on the bench, and voiced her desire to run again after the defeat of Brad Schimmel this year. “I’m concerned for what an extremely radical court is going to do over the next three years,” said Bradley. Her opponent is Chris Taylor, who is a Liberal State Appeals Court Judge for Wisconsin. She has already raised $583,000 since her announcement to run against Justice Bradley this past May. She is already over $100,000 higher than Justice-elect Susane Crawford was at the time. For reference, the Crawford-Schimmel race was one of the most expensive state supreme court races in history, surpassing $100 million. (RELATED: Disgraced Judge’s Trial Likely To Proceed)

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is currently at a 4-3 majority, in liberal favor. The liberals have won 4 out of the last 5 supreme court elections. The Court flipped to a 4-3 liberal majority after the election of Jan Protasiewicz in 2023.

State Appeals Judge Maria Lazar has been seen as the potential next best fit for the conservative camp. However she also raised no money in this last cycle. The Court could cement a 5-2 majority until 2028 if the conservative challenger loses this coming April. (RELATED: Anti-Expat Protests in Mexico City Draw Outrage and Claims of Hypocrisy)
